In My Mailbox (#1)

February 14, 2013 Stacking the Shelves 2

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren in which bloggers share the books we acquired over the past week.

This is my first IMM post, and it’s a doozy.  The majority of my books come from the library.  I request many new titles in advance, and when my name comes up in the queue, I can pick them up. This week, I was flooded with the library books that came available, and I don’t know where to start!

From the library (I’ve got 3 weeks to read these!)

1) The Fault In Our Stars by John Green
2) Splintered by A.G. Howard
3) Out of The Easy by Ruta Sepetys
4) Hallowed by Cynthia Hand
5) Going Clear by Lawrence Wright
6) Asunder by Jodi Meadows

1) Til the World Ends by Julie Kagawa, Ann Aguirre, Karen Duvall
2) The Indigo Spell by Richelle Mead  (Trying to get this finished so I can do my first giveaway)

2) The Bane by Keary Taylor

Cool meme! I loved TFiOS. It’s amazing. I just made a NetGalley account. I’m not getting much. What should I add to my profile so that I get more approvals? Never heard of ‘Til The World Ends, but I like Julie Kagawa so I’ll give it a try. Nice post 🙂

I can’t wait to read Fault! I’m sure it’s amazing.

As for NetGalley, you are probably asking the wrong person. I just signed up a couple weeks ago. I’ve requested about about ten books. Got approved for two, turned down for two or three, and the rest are “pending.” But I would just follow NG’s advice and put as much info as you can in your profile. I suspect more is better.

I’m anxious to read ‘Til b/c Julie is also one of my favorites. Unfortunately, since I purchased that one, it’s down near the bottom of my TBR pile since I have so many library books to get through. But if you’re patient, I’m going to do a raffle for it once I’m finished. 🙂
