Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week a new topic is given and this weeks topic is:
 Top Ten Favorite Book Covers

If You Find Me by Emily Murdoch: Look at this girl.  You can see the suffering in her eyes.  And yet, there seems to be a strength.  She perfectly captures the character of Carey.  (My review is here.)

The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton: The source of thousands of young girls’ crushes.  C. Thomas Howell, Matt Dillon, Rob Lowe, Tom Cruise, Patrick Swayze, Ralph Macchio.  And look closely at the price on the cover… $2.50!!!

Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor: The sequel, Days of Blood and Starlight has an amazing cover, too.  I debated which one to pick, but I had to go with this beautiful blue.

The Walking Dead by Robert Kirkman: It’s pretty clear what this graphic novel is about, right?  Happy family gone kaput.  Hungry zombies.  That is all.

Splintered by A.G. Howard: You really need to see this cover in person to appreciate the beauty of the colors..

Reboot by Amy Tintera: The bar code cover tells us that the people in this story aren’t people at all – they’re merely products of the government.  Also, they’re dead.

In the Shadow of Blackbirds by Cat Winters: One of the eeriest covers I’ve seen in a long time.  Does Mary Shelley know that ghost is hovering beside her?

The Road by Cormac MacCarthy: You don’t even have to know what this book is about to be able to discern from the cover that there will be loss and devastation.  And it’s bleak.  But it’s also one of the best, if not THE best, post-apocalyptic books I’ve ever read.

Everbound by Brodi Ashton: Nikki looks like she could be rising up out of Hell, doesn’t she?

The Program by Suzanne Young: This one is a cheat, because I haven’t actually read it yet.  I did purchase it mostly due to the awesome cover.  What’s down that hallway???

OK, folks!  Let me take a look at your favorite covers.  Link up your picks below!

Splintered is such a great cover. I haven’t read The Program yet (it’s coming up soon) but it’s got a great cover! Fab list.

I totally didn’t notice that ghost in the background of the “In the Shadow of Blackbirds” cover till you pointed it out. Obviously i’m not too observant. Btw, I totally don’t think its cheating to pick a favorite book cover from a book you haven’t read. I have a shelf on goodreads dedicated solely to pretty covers. Like 85% of them I’ve never even read. Some I don’t even plan to ever read. It’s silly, but I can’t stop myself from collecting them like they’re candy or something. ha ha.

Everbound! I adore her dress and the way it ends in smoke. Wow, the first time I saw that cover I stared at it for a long while. I love the cover fr the first book too.
