I usually go Black Friday shopping with my bestie, but this year we’re getting tattoos on Black Friday instead. πŸ˜‰ One year I braved the mall to get a Nook on sale!

  2. Tammy

Nothing! The last time I did Black Friday shopping it was 4am for an Xbox 360 at Target so it’s been awhile.

  3. simonet hodges

I went Black Friday shopping last year for tablets for my brothers. It was crazy fun. I really want the beats pill by DR.Dre so I might go for that.

  4. Kathy L.

A new car, TV, or something similar. If I’m not going to save a lot of money it’s just not worth all that craziness!

  5. Anddeea

Usually books, and those are bought online, but then I go with my friends and we end up buying lots of different things.

In my neck of the woods (Italy) the Black Friday event is brand new. Or at least in my town. I have seen the news and O.O so many people in one place! They were like rabid animals. But I’d subject myself to the madness for endless supplies of chocolate and book sales. For those two categories I’d do it. Though the sales would have to be pretty impressive. So let’s say I go for books. If it’s over 20% off for each book then I’d go. Otherwise I don’t see the point, really (I’m a student, so I already have some bonuses and stuff.)

At the moment, there’s nothing I want that much for which I would subject myself with Black Friday mania. LOL!

  8. Cait D

I’m Australian, so I don’t know that we have black-friday-shopping (I should probably KNOW…but anyway. My head’s always in a book). πŸ˜‰ Thanks for the giveaway!

  9. Farah K

We don’t really have it here (in Jordan) or anything remotely similar. but if i ever did go it would definitely be for books..I don’t really have anything else in mind..
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  10. Kristia

We don’t have it here, but maybe I’d do all that queue waiting and stuff for a kindle(?). But that’s why I love internet, you can buy everything from your home πŸ™‚ Thank you for the giveaway!

  11. Danielle G

I prefer not to hit the stores, way too crowded. I would rather stay home and shop online. Hopefully Amazon or Barnes and Noble has some great deals on books this year.

  12. Sarah

I would like to get some more DVD’s that will be cheap..and if they had a really cheap phone I might πŸ˜›
I like black friday shopping for a little bit because it’s exciting but after that it’s just kind of annoying lol.

  13. Ana LucΓa

Since we don’t have that here is hard to tell but I’m a girl so probably shoes lol

    Or electronics.

  14. Danielle D

I really wish there were Black Friday deals on books – but there never really is… I do always look out for ridiculously cheap TV series though!

  15. Vivien

I’m working, but even so, I wouldn’t be venturing out. I do 98% of my shopping online.

  16. Satarupa

I never visited any Black Friday Shopping but if there are books then I’m in even if I get trampled but I’ll surely grab my favourite books !!! πŸ˜€

  17. Cindi Clubbs

There is absolutely nothing that I want that bad. I went one year to see what it was like and it was a NIGHTMARE. I never tried it again. My brother in law packs food and his kids and hangs out in long lines meeting people every year. NO WAY!!! lol

  18. sarah c.

Oh i dont dare go to the stores.. I cant stand crowds and the pushing to get things and not being able to look around—not for me.. If i went i would be at home with a headache for hours afterwards..

  19. Dinky

I never been on Black Friday shopping, but in my opinion I donΒ΄t need anything so much that it canΒ΄t wait until next day :). Only if somewhere has been amazing book sale πŸ˜€ πŸ™‚

  20. Tamara

I have gone Black Friday shopping before and it’s always insane. I usually get a lot of good dvd/blu ray deals. Last year I got a new blu ray player. I think this year I’ll do most of my shopping online πŸ™‚

  21. Carina Olsen

Thank you both for the amazing giveaway. <3 You guys are amazing. Hmm. I'm not sure; as we don't have any offers like that here in Norway πŸ™‚ But ohh. I guess if Nintendo Wii U was on a huge sale I would risk a crazy day. <3

I don’t think they would be anything that would get out in madness like that! It’d have to be something pretty awesome and be a kick ass deal.

  23. Danielle

I have a huge dislike for Black Friday! Way too many crazy people!!! Lol I really only go if the are awesome book deals πŸ™‚

  24. Robyn Jones

I’ve never shopped on Black Friday. I waited in lines for hours for ice and water after super typhoons when I was a kid. There isn’t a dang thing that could drag me shopping in all that madness. Nope. Nada. Nothing. Great giveaway, Stephanie!

In Australia the closest we would come is the After Christmas Sales, but since I dislike shopping intensely the only shopping I enjoy is for books, if my favourite bookstores were holing massive sakes I’d be there

  26. Mckenzie Templeton

I love Black Friday! Last year I got out after midnight to grab some new bass headphones and a few other things. I had never thought of going to book stores until just now! I think I’ll hit Books A Million this year

  27. Ikao Fiona

Nothing really crazy, but at there is Jakarta Great Sale in Indonesia where many malls in Jakarta host a big discount in a month XD I’m very excited with this because bookstores also give discount.

  28. Aprilia Rizki

We don’t have Black Friday here so is hard to tell, but I really like buy books πŸ™‚

  29. Gaby Metivier

We don’t have black fridays, but we do have sale weekends, and they’re insane!! I just go crazy for books and shoes ^^ Thank you!

  30. BarefootMedStudent

We don’t have anything that comes even CLOSE to Black Friday in South Africa. Probably the closest to that is the semi-huge sales a few days after Christmas. I don’t know what I want badly enough, but I just want to experience the madness once. Books, probably, is what I would want to spend most of my money on! And some electronic stuff. Maybe a new iPad, or just a new cover for my old iPad, or something like that.

I think in Canada the only sort of day like that would be boxing day, the day after Christmas, but even then the crowds aren’t so scary… I think mostly books would be worth the stampede, maybe electronics or clothing? I don’t think that I would ever join in on such crazy shopping though…

  32. Atalia M.

I’ve only participated in Black Friday once and all I got were movies. I don’t know I’ve I’ll ever do it again since stores get so packed, its hard to look for what you want. If I were to do it again though it would be for shoes. I love shoes! I would endure Black Friday for a cute pair of shoes πŸ˜‰

  33. Isa

I live in Trinidad and the only time shopping gets slightly crazy is around Christmas time but it’s no way near the craziness of American sale shopping. I think I would be terrified of being trampled, I would say books but there are so many used shops and online stores that sell really cheap books. Maybe a kindle or tablet I think.

  34. Evette Torres

I like to go Black Friday shopping at Walmart. I only go because tv shows are all $10. πŸ™‚

  35. Lisamarie

The only reason we consider Black Friday shopping is for laptops. Even at that we hit the Office Supply store for that because its not as crazy. Otherwise no thank you, its just too crazy.

  36. Alaa

I’ve never gone shopping on Black Friday, only online. This year my friend is coming from out of town so she’s taking me shopping on Black Friday for the first time! I am excited πŸ™‚

  37. Laura J.

This is an amazing giveaway! Also, the only thing that will drag me through all those crowds and lines are clothes, books, and maybe a nook or laptop.

  38. Meghan Stith

I did Black Friday the last two years and I will never do it again! It’s just too stressful and I don’t end up getting what I want anyway!

  39. Kimberly Mayberry

I have been Black Friday shopping a couple of times, but over fifteen years ago. The one thing I learned was skip the major retailers and hit the smaller stores. You get better deals, less hassles, smaller turn outs, more items are likely to be in stock, and you don’t have to risk life and limb to get a good deal. Now-a-days, I am strictly an online shopper for most of my gift buying. I shop all year long, put items on the site’s wish list, and watch for price drops or specials–all from the comfort of my home.

  40. Holly Letson

Do you have any crazy shopping days in your country?
I would exactly call Black Friday crazy, but it has been getting worse in the last few years.
I actually prefer to shop on The BEST Shopping Day of the year, December 26th.

What do you want enough to subject yourself to American-style Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving) shopping madness? (Imagine huge crowds, long lines, pushing, shoving, people getting trampled.)
Again, I have never had any such problems while shopping on Black Friday. But, then again, I live in Alabama, and used to live in Mississippi, so I wasn’t in places that what you mentioned happens. That usually happens in NY or CA. The real trick is just get there early enough to beat the crowds.

I wanted one of the Nook HD 8GB tablet/eReader machines that Target had for $79 on Thanksgiving Doorbuster this year. I definitely would have stood in line and rushed through crowds at opening on Thanksgiving to save $50 off the regular price of $129! But, money is tight, and we were too broke to afford that.

  41. Tammy Cordell Hudson

I used to get out and really shop on Black Friday. I have not done it in a couple of years now I do mine online. I went out a little yesterday it was not too bad

  42. Natasha

    I love black friday shopping.
I like shopping online the most.
Thanks for the chance to win!

  43. Kel

Black Friday and the two to three days before Christmas are probably the craziest around here. I’ve gone out before for extra cheap movies, but nowadays, nothing short of a 50% off book sale will drag me out of bed. πŸ™‚

  44. Francis Casabuena

We don’t have Black Friday here in my country or if we have it’s very rare and some people didn’t know what it’s about. But recently one of the malls here have a black Friday sale and me and my mom gathered things that will be great for gifts this Christmas, that was a crazy experience people are acting like it’s the end of the world, great thing is it is not brute just like what I saw on some black Friday sale videos on YouTube. That’s crazy apocalypse.

We do have a day like that in Spain, and it’s on the 7th of January. Things get crazy! Which is why I never go shopping that day.

  46. Nicole

I am well acquainted with Black Friday although I didn’t go this year. I usually stay away from crazy places like Walmart and Best Buy but I can totally see the allure of getting awesome deals on electronics and what not. If I’m ever in the market for a TV or something, I might consider braving one of those places. I like going to outlets or the mall instead and just taking advantage of all the store wide sales to get some holiday shopping done! πŸ™‚

I have never been shopping on Black Friday! I always work on that day, so I’ve never gotten to experience the craziness first hand. That’s why I’ve always shopped online during that time of year. But if I was able go shopping on Black Friday, I would brave the crowds for awesome books!! =)
