Top Ten Tuesday # 39: Worlds I’d Never Want to Inhabit

January 27, 2014 Top Ten Tuesday 18

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week a new topic is given, and this week’s topic is:

Worlds I’d Never Want to Inhabit
(Plus One That I’m Hoping For)

hunger circle 3
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins: As much as I hate to admit it, I’m no Katniss.

Warm Bodies Circle
Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion: There’s a lot to hate about a zombie apocalypse, aside from the prospect of being eaten – the constant moaning and the shuffling of feet, for starters.

boleyn
The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory: I prefer my head attached to my body.

not a drop circle
Not a Drop to Drink by Mindy McGinnis: NO WATER??? NO THANKS!!

eternity circle
The Eternity Cure by Julie Kagawa: I’m already pale, and I wear a lot of black, so I have the building blocks to make a good vampire.  But immortality doesn’t really appeal to me.

TBS Circle
These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner: Being stranded on a planet with only one other person sounds pretty terrible, and we can’t all have a Tarver.

GOT Circle
A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin: All of the scheming and backstabbing would get old very quickly, and I’d probably find myself wishing for a dragon attack.

scary
5th wave circle

The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey: Yep, I’m craving a good ol’ alien invasion.  Of course, I’d prefer that the aliens be of the snuggly E.T. variety, but I’d take the evil kind if it means that we would make contact with intelligent alien life in my lifetime.

The Hunger Games is a popular one this week! I most definitely would be the first one to die if I was in the Hunger Games. I would probably faint while on the podium and just get blown up, although that would probably be more appealing than getting bludgeoned to death! Don’t know how I didn;t put Westeros in my list, that is one scary place!

What a great list. Panem is going to be a favorite today I can tell (I had it as well) I can see I have some other books to read to experience these great places.

Great answer! I love that you picked one that you would like to live in. Even better you picked a aliens book. I have that one on my TBR list you just pushed it up a few notches. Thanks so much for sharing, and happy reading. My TT
