These ARCs Need a Good Home

April 28, 2014 Giveaway 36

rescue me

I have a few ARCs that are in need of a good home.  For various reasons, none of these worked for me, and I’m hoping to pass them along to someone who will have some better luck with them.  If you’d like to know why I didn’t like The Dollhouse Asylum and Defy, you can see my rant-y reviews here and here.  I read (or rather, mostly read) Plus One last week.  I got through 200 pages and decided to throw in the towel.  It’s better written than the other two, but I just couldn’t connect with the story.

If you’d like to take a chance on one, two, or all three of these ARCs, let me know in the comments!  This giveaway is open to U.S. residents.

I haven’t read any of them but I did buy Defy on my Kindle so either Plus One or Dollhouse Asylum because my library doesn’t carry either. Also I have ARCs of After The End by Amy Plum and Guardian by Alex London that I won off of Goodreads but have finished if you want or to include in the giveaway, I could send. Just want others to have a chance to read. They’re May releases.

That’s so generous, Tammy! Would you not want to do a giveaway on Twitter?

I figure you might get more response from your blog from people who might actually want to read the specific books, maybe? Especially since Guardian is a second in a series. People would have to have read Proxy.

I really liked After The End. There’s a road trip throughout that goes through several western states and you could tell Amy Plum did her homework discovering specific landmarks. It’s fun to read places in books you’re familiar with.

Plus One sounds really good and I’ve had my eye on it. Thanks for the chance.

  3. LeKeisha

I’d like to read all three! Okay, if I had to pick one it would be Plus One.

  4. Holly Letson

I’d be OK, giving any of them a chance.
*Plus One* sounds like the most interesting of them.

I’ve been wanting to read Defy for a while and The Dollhouse Asylum sounds very cool C:

Usually I jump at any chance for free books, but I think I’d better leave these three to readers with a better chance at liking them. I read Defy earlier this year (1 star) and have heard enough about Plus One to be sure I won’t like it. I haven’t read The Dollhouse Asylum, but if you found it horrible, there’s a good chance I’ll find the same.

This is a great idea, though- passing along ARC’s that don’t work for you to other readers. The books get another chance at finding a happy reader and more exposure, and you free up shelf space for new books. 🙂

I wasn’t sure how people would respond to a giveaway like this, but I thought there were probably people who wanted to read one or more of them. I hope it works out!

I’d really like Defy, but I’d read all of them and then share.

I would love to win Defy and Plus One but they all seem amazing!!!
