stacking the shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! Visit Tynga’s Reviews to learn more about this weekly meme.

So…how about that World Cup?  It was such an exciting couple of weeks for the US, even for this non-soccer/football fan here who jumped right on the “I believe that we will win!” bandwagon.  I guess I’ll tune back in again in four years for the next World Cup.  Good luck to those of you whose teams are still alive.

In the meantime, I decided to move around a few of my bookcases, and I started taking my books down yesterday.  I got inspired to make this US flag in celebration of Independence Day.  It’s also a good time for me to think about the fact that I still have not read over half of these books!

I cannot wait for Walled City. The book looks awesome. I might have to preorder it! The American Flag looks cool :). I am certainly excited for the World Cup. Holland is still in the race and plays against Costa Rice in 3 hours. I hope they win! Happy reading and great haul!

Yeah, how about that World Cup? 🙂 Both my teams are out, so… LOL yup see ya in 4 years! I am still watching though, and enjoying it even though I don’t really watch soccer much otherwise. Have no idea who to root for now either!

    Happy 4th of July!

Very cool bookish flag! Even books can be patriotic!
And Mortal Danger and The Walled City! I’m super keen on those two, so I cannot wait to read what you think about them!

I’m reading Mortal Danger right now. I’m really curious what you’ll think of it. I’ve had The Walled City on my radar though I’ve not requested it. I’m a bit iffy on it so you should read it and let me know how it is 🙂
    Love your book flag artwork!
