stacking the shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! Visit Tynga’s Reviews to learn more about this weekly meme.

As soon as I finish typing up this post, I’m going to watch Mockingjay.  Have you guys seen it yet?  I saw it at the theater, and it was better than I expected, based on some reviews that complained that nothing really happened.  I suppose that’s what happens when you chop a book in half.  I did like it, though.  It wasn’t as good as Catching Fire, but I think it was a good set up for Part II.  I also want to get in a plug for Lucy, with Scarlett Johansson, which is at Redbox now.  It was excellent.  If you like sci-fi, you should check it out.

All of these goodies were from my wonderful OTSP Secret Sister.  This package arrived on my doorstep in the midst of my water outage two weeks ago.  Needless to say, it made my day.  The included books are: The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch, Half Bad by Sally Green, and Never Always Sometimes by Adi Alsaid.  And in case you were wondering about the Thin Mints, yeah, they’re all gone.

Let me know what hit your shelves this week!

There are some really nice covers in your haul this week. I haven’t watched the Hunger Games films yet. I’m worried about them splitting Mockingjay in two as there wasn’t enough action to justify it-not like Harry Potter. It needed the two films for book 7 as so much happens. I will buy it when it comes to dvd. Must get the first two watched though.

Great haul. I can’t wait to read Undertow and A Darker Shade of Magic. I watched Mockingjay Friday evening and unfortunately, I think I feel into the “nothing happened” category. Guess I’ll have to wait for the last installment.

I almost requested Undertow but was able to resist (for now) as I have so many other books to get through. I still need to read my copy of The Winner’s Curse. I hope you like this next installment. I love the covers on them!! I hope you enjoy all these. Happy Reading!
    Here’s my sts.
